What are you doing this weekend?

Me, I dragged myself out for a swimming session. When I came back, I ate a bowl of porridge for lunch, checked my email to make sure my test subjects were taking part in the online focus group of a study I'm running. I then sent an email moving a meeting from Monday to Tuesday. After that I walked into town to go to the market and buy fruit and veg, I bought:

1 bag of red onions
6 carrots
2 small bunches of broccoli
1 bunch of spring onions
6 tomatoes
1 bag of mushrooms
15 satsumas
2 packets of raspberries
12 medium eggs

for £8.37

I then walked back to my flat, had a look at the internet, made a cup of coffee and 2 poached eggs, and ate them whilst I watched an episode of QI on BBC iPlayer.

Now, I will start thinking about either organising my notes and updating my subjects' contact details or cleaning my room. Whilst I am doing that, I will be logged into gmail and chatting with those friends that are online.

Then, in about two hours, I will make dinner which will consist of:

1 1/2 mushrooms
1 onion
1 tomato
1 carrot
2 spring onions
and
1 veggie burger
or
1 tin of mackeral in tomato sauce.

I finished a proposal for my novel, Pilate and mailed it to the literary agent. Querying is so frustrating - every agent wants it differently. I spent almost the whole week working this one up. There's something like a 90% rejection rate. a2r8

I should start looking for a job. I'm going to be paid through the end of August, but I'm already getting worried.

I installed Kubuntu on my desktop - Ubuntu in KDE. Still playing with it, trying to understand.

I never posted!

...They're on facebook _anyway,_ so uh yeah.

But for some reason, this con made us all nostalgic. Three of us have known each other for over nine years through Farscape. We nostalgia'd over previous cons, websites, message boards.

O MON, THE SANDBOX.

The bots never crawled it though, I tried the wayback machine. It's gone. Sad

Wait wait wait... It's gone? What's gone? Have I missed something??

I hate it when that happens..

Oooh, and this last weekend I jumped on a plane in Tasmania, flew to Sydney, where I spent a couple of hours killing time before jumping on another plane bound for Abu Dhabi.. 14 hours, 3 films and precious little sleep later I killed some time in in Abu Dhabi's airport.. There is something about stuffed camels that just doesn't seem right.. But I then jumped on another plane to London, where, after 7 hours, 2 movies and a chess match (that I won yay!) I alighted, jumped into a car, where I sat for a couple of hours back home. i then watched the F1 GP, checked emails etc, and basically did nothing.

Smile

I choose to believe you. Bouncing Grin

The oooold SB, on Gigi's site. Bots didn't crawl it, so it's not available on the wayback machine.
